This day hike begins in McLeod Ganj, where you will trek approximately 9 kilometres up to Triund, gaining around 1,100 metres in elevation. The trail is moderately challenging and generally suitable for beginner to intermediate trekkers, taking about 4 to 5 hours to reach the campsite of Triund.

As you ascend, take in panoramic views of the snow-covered Dhauladhar mountains and the lush green valleys below. The route passes through charming villages and grazing pastures, offering a glimpse of local life in the Himalayas. Proper footwear is recommended due to rocky terrain, and good condition is needed to tackle the hike comfortably.

After a light lunch at Triund, the descent back to McLeod Ganj commences.
