We visited four bars and even took a break for ice cream. Jeff Fritz, who is a former Second City cast member, made the experience fun and engaging. I really enjoyed the time we had with him.
We had a delightful and informative walking tour of Detroit's bars. Our guide Christine was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
The guide was friendly, but the tour fell short in delivering substantial historical context about the city. Aside from Grand Trunk, the selection of other bars seemed random and lacked a cohesive theme. I expected to walk further down to LCA and learn about landmarks like Comerica, Ford Field, and the historical church at the corner. While we had a great group, I wouldn't suggest this tour to others.
What a fantastic bar tour! Christine, our guide, was enjoyable and cheerful. I'm already looking forward to doing this again. Each stop was fantastic.
