• Pickup will occur very early in the morning from your hotel, followed by a drive to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest peak. At 8,482 feet, Tiger Hill is the highest location in Darjeeling, offering excellent panoramic views of the snow-covered Himalayas on clear days. Breakfast at a local restaurant is at your own cost after the visit to Tiger Hill. • Following breakfast, a ride on the ‘Toy train’ from Darjeeling to Ghoom will be arranged. This narrow-gauge train, pulled by a vintage steam engine, travels at a slow pace up steep mountains, providing memorable views of breathtaking landscapes. It has been in operation since 1880 and serves as a crucial transport connection to the lower plains. The train makes a loop at Batasia, offering remarkable views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Darjeeling. The Darjeeling Toy Train is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. • The oldest Buddhist monastery in Darjeeling, located at 7,407 feet, features a 15-foot high Buddha statue. Established in 1850 by a Mongolian monk and astrologer, it belongs to the Yellow Hat sect. Notably, it served as a refuge for several high-ranking Tibetan abbots during the 1959 Chinese invasion. A lunch break at a local restaurant is available after visiting the monastery, at your own expense. • The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute has trained numerous prominent Indian mountaineers and showcases memorabilia from various Everest expeditions to promote mountaineering as a sport. • Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, located at the highest altitude of any zoo in India, houses the largest captive population of snow leopards and is renowned for its conservation breeding programs for endangered species, including the Red Panda, Snow Leopards, and Tibetan Wolf. • Tenzing Rock, a large natural rock formation named after Tenzing Norgay—the first person to reach Mt. Everest alongside Edmund Hillary—serves as a training site for rock climbers, featuring a beginner-friendly climbing face. • The Darjeeling mountains are adorned with lush green tea bushes, producing some of India's finest teas. Around 80 tea gardens cover thousands of acres on the mountain slopes, where you can observe the process of tea production from freshly plucked leaves to packaging for global distribution. Once the activities conclude, return transportation will be provided to a fixed location or your hotel.
