Taking cooking classes is something I always look forward to, and this one was undoubtedly the best experience I've had. It felt like enjoying a delightful home-cooked French meal, complete with wine, alongside new friends in Ann and Rick's beautiful Dana Point home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, engaging, and fun. Participating in the preparation of the impressive French meal, with recipes to take home, made the experience even better. I highly recommend it.
Ann and Rick are incredibly warm and charming hosts who made this cooking class—my birthday gift from my daughter and sister—a truly memorable occasion. Their sincerity and passion for the experience were outstanding. The entire 3.5-hour visit passed in a flash. Starting with refreshing French 75 champagne cocktails was a delightful way to kick off the class on January 1st. We then collaborated on a meal, guided by Ann and supported by Rick. As anticipated, the meal was exquisite. To celebrate my birthday, my daughter also brought a cake, which we savored after the meal. Our group of three unanimously decided to plan another lesson with Ann and Rick to share this wonderful experience with more friends.

The evening was filled with joy as we, along with other couples, prepared and enjoyed a beautifully crafted meal together. Their home, thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated, features a well-stocked kitchen that truly inspires creativity. From the warm welcome to the heartfelt goodbye, we felt like family rather than just guests. The instructions were clear, engaging, and very informative, making the process enjoyable. Ann’s easy guidance on making choux à la crème was both straightforward and encouraging. The aromas wafting through the room while everything was baking were mesmerizing, but the highlight was definitely enjoying the finished meal family-style at the table. We would happily experience this again.
