Reviews
This food tour was outstanding, offering a wonderful mix of delicious food along with interesting historical insights about the area. Our guide, Parker, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. Overall, the experience surpassed our expectations.
Having experienced numerous food tours across the US and internationally, this one was the most underwhelming. Despite positive reviews, it felt like a different guide was leading. Parker, our guide, greeted us unkempt, eating from a paper cup. While he shared scripted facts about the area, his knowledge of Dallas was limited. The Oak Cliff area was disappointing, with the first two restaurants serving decent but outdated food in cluttered settings. The third restaurant was closed, which led him to quickly arrange a mezcal tasting at a nearby spot—this was the highlight of the tour. Although the Bishop Arts neighborhood had potential, we only sampled from one restaurant there. The final stop was an old market that offered ice cream. Overall, this experience did not justify the $110 per person cost. TripAdvisor's "luxury" description was misleading.
Parker was fantastic! We really enjoyed our day.
Parker was fantastic! It was such a delightful experience to discover the gems of Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts. A beautiful afternoon to walk around and gain new insights about the city I call home.
We had an incredible day! Parker made the experience enjoyable, and we got to sample a variety of delicious foods. It was a fantastic Friday with friends and lots of fun.
Incredible experience! This tour is a must-do. The history was enlightening and the food was outstanding. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, making it a thoroughly enjoyable day overall.
The tour was fantastic! Our guide was both knowledgeable and kind. We kicked off with a hearty steak and baked potato at a historic site, followed by some tasty smaller dishes. It was a wonderful day filled with delicious food, shopping, and rich history. The only downside was that I hoped for more cocktail options at the stops since we were celebrating a birthday, though we did enjoy lovely margaritas at one location. Overall, a 5/5 experience.
This tour was a fantastic experience, packed with culture, art, and delicious food and drinks. Parker was engaging and entertaining, sharing plenty of interesting facts about the Dallas area. I highly recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walking food tour in Dallas. It was just my husband and me, and the atmosphere was inviting and lively. Our guide, Parker, was exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and infused warmth into the experience. Every stop was delightful, particularly Charco Broiler Steakhouse for its steak and baked potato, and Coco’s Fire & Ice where we sampled a unique huitlacoche quesadilla. Xaman Cafe also served delicious hot chocolate. Exploring the Bishop Arts District was a standout moment, and discovering the Selena mural was an exciting surprise. We finished the tour feeling satisfied and joyful, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.
Lauren was an excellent guide for our private tour of just the two of us. The food selections were fantastic, and we managed to walk about 8000 steps while learning plenty of interesting Dallas history and fun stories along the way.
