Ciel Yunnan organized an incredible seven-day adventure through Yunnan, filled with breathtaking sights and unique boutique hotels that had plenty of charm. Our well-planned itinerary for six began in Lijiang, where we visited popular attractions like Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Spruce Meadow, Blue Moon Valley, Black Dragon Pool Park, and the charming Old Town. On the second day, we kicked off with a cooking class featuring Naxi cuisine at Fancy’s, then enjoyed a scenic drive to Shangri-La. There, we explored Turtle Mountain Temple and the Great Prayer Wheel, followed by a lively Tibetan dance performance after savoring yak meat and yak milk dumplings for dinner. Day three started with a horse ride around Napa Lake, showcasing the magnificent landscape, then we visited the impressive Songzanlin Monastery at 3,300 meters. Oxygen cans are available en route for altitude sickness, and our hotel offered an oxygen machine for nighttime comfort, which we could access via a Chinese social media app. Lunch included a heartwarming, home-cooked Tibetan meal with a local family, providing a glimpse into their daily life. We finished the day by admiring the stunning views at Tiger Leaping Gorge, taking the escalator to avoid the long hike of 1,300 steps. On the fourth day, we enjoyed a leisurely hike for two hours against a beautiful mountain backdrop. Upon reaching Shaxi in the afternoon, we joined a traditional tea ceremony and wandered through quaint streets and shops. Day five involved a trip to Shibaoshan Mountain. The journey to the grottoes is rather lengthy, revealing stone carvings of Buddhist art rather than actual caves. After a local Bai lunch in Dali, we biked around Erhai Lake and explored the bustling streets with local snacks and shops. Our adventure wrapped up in Kunming, where we toured Yuantong Buddhist Temple, Green Lake Park, and the vibrant Zhaungxing Market, enjoying a variety of unique and tasty foods. Carrie, our guide, was exceptionally caring, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring our comfort throughout the trip while assisting with dining and hotel arrangements, making the experience seamless. Our driver provided a safe and comfortable ride in a small bus, enhancing our overall sense of security. Traveling at this time of year was perfect, with clear blue skies and no rain, though it was fairly cold, so pack warm clothing and wind-resistant jackets. There were few tourists, resulting in minimal wait times at attractions. Ciel Yunnan's carefully chosen locations, boutique accommodations, and meticulous attention to detail made this trip unforgettable. The booking process was easy, and our itinerary was tailored to our needs before we left. I highly recommend Ciel Yunnan for an exceptional travel experience.

The travel agency is highly professional. The tour was well organized with knowledgeable guides, and the agency manager was always reachable via WhatsApp. However, the itinerary can feel like a marathon, so it's important to be cautious if you're not able to walk for 10 hours nonstop.
