Our experience was incredibly enjoyable and stress-free, successfully ticking off a bucket list item. From our 10-year-old to my 74-year-old dad, everyone had a fantastic time. Mac led the trip, supported by Jessica, and both were friendly, ensuring the 10-year-old felt encouraged throughout. We got to see and swim with seven manatees, including two mothers with their calves. Mac even took a special detour to show us some other sights. It was a beautiful day that created great memories, and the photos we took are wonderful keepsakes.
This was truly an outstanding experience. We booked last minute, despite our friends saying we might not see any manatees, but Max exceeded our expectations. We spotted numerous manatees, including some babies, along with alligators and various birds, like a mother Egret with her chicks. We also visited Shell Island, which is made up of scallop and oyster shells, making for a beautiful sail. Max and Meghan were knowledgeable about the area; Max shared a lot of insights on wildlife and conservation. He has a great personality, is quite funny, and really thought of everything. The photo gift at the end was a lovely touch. We will definitely sail with him and his company again. Don't hesitate to choose Seacow Safari’s.
This tour is a semi-private experience with a very small group. Our captain, Mack, and guide, Megan, were exceptional. We encountered many manatees up close, creating an amazing experience from beginning to end. All necessary gear was supplied, including wetsuits, snorkel equipment, a snack, hot chocolate, and photos from our adventure. I'd do this again without hesitation; it was the highlight of our Florida trip.
What an incredible experience! We spotted manatees just minutes after leaving and jumped into the water right away. The small size of our group was definitely a plus. Captain Marc took us to several other locations where we encountered more manatees. In total, we spent around two hours in the water. When we returned to the pontoon, hot chocolate and snacks were waiting for us. I can't wait to do this again on my next visit!
My friends surprised me with a trip to Crystal River to swim with manatees, something I'd always dreamed of doing. My 40th birthday was the perfect occasion to make it happen. Although I didn’t book directly with Captain Mac, my friend mentioned he was incredibly nice and helpful. Upon arriving at the marina, we were warmly welcomed by Captain Mac and his guide Magan, both of whom I found delightful, suggesting we were in for a great experience even before departing. They shared a wealth of knowledge about the springs and manatees, making us feel at ease as we practiced with the goggles and snorkels. With only six of us in the group, we received personalized attention. Magan was an outstanding guide, ensuring each of us had the opportunity to engage closely with the manatees while respecting their space. She also took numerous pictures for us, which my friend had arranged to be included in the package. As it was my birthday and a lifelong dream to swim with the manatees, Magan went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for me. At the end of our time together, Magan expressed happiness for contributing to my special memory, and Mac invited us to reach out if we ever returned to Crystal River. This trip was truly exceptional, and I will definitely return. I even shared my experience with coworkers in Tallahassee, many of whom showed interest in booking with Seacow Safaris. I had an incredible tour today with Mac and Faith. It was an unforgettable experience as I encountered numerous manatees and spent around two hours in the water getting a close look at them.
