Full-day tour of Mt. Teide and Masca Valley — Day trips things to do in Costa Adeje

Eight hours by bus — explore UNESCO-listed Teide National Park, visit Icod's dragon tree, and spend time in Garachico and cliffside Masca village.

A full-day bus tour departing from Costa Adeje, this excursion takes you through the enchanting landscapes of Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll traverse striking volcanic scenery before passing through Vilaflor, one of Spain’s highest villages, and stopping at the ancient dragon tree in Icod De Los Viños, estimated to be over 3000 years old.

The itinerary includes ample free time to wander through Garachico, once the main port of Tenerife, and to appreciate the dramatic views of Masca village, which is perched on a cliff. Lunch can be enjoyed at a recommended restaurant or you can bring your own. It's wise to dress in layers as temperatures can drop in the mountains from November to May. Keep in mind that the itinerary may shift based on weather conditions.

• This applies to pickups from the northern region only. • There will be a brief stop at one of Europe's highest villages, exclusively for southern pickups. • Enjoy a pleasant walk around the well-known rock formations, offering excellent views of Mount Teide Volcano and the National Park, overlooking the basin created by the land sinking below the Teide cone during the eruption. The village of Icod features a typical church and plaza. • Spend time in what may be the most picturesque villages in Tenerife, a small hamlet nestled in the western folds of the island, home to a community that prefers seclusion. It offers stunning views of a gorge leading down to Los Gigantes. • Explore Garachico, which was the original port of Tenerife before it was devastated by a volcanic eruption in 1706. There will be time to wander through the town center or relax in the plaza under the trees and take in the surroundings.
