My 6-year-old son had an amazing time at Legoland, and my 11-year-old daughter enjoyed herself as well. We were uncertain about whether our kids' different ages would affect their experience, but both had a great time. The staff were fantastic and there were countless activities available. Our son, who is a huge fan of Legos, had the best time. While the rides are geared towards younger children, even the adults found them enjoyable and entertaining.
Plan for a few hours to enjoy the activities. The 4D movie was fantastic, and the VR roller coaster race was enjoyable as well. It's in the mall, which made it somewhat difficult to locate since we anticipated a stand-alone building with the name.
We visited Legoland in Columbus as a birthday gift for my grandson and had a fantastic time, spending over four hours there. There are activities for all ages, and my grandson, a Lego enthusiast, kept busy building. The staff was friendly and eager to assist without being overbearing, although some could use better customer service training. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
I am completely let down. I've visited three times before with my grandchildren, but on our fourth trip, we discovered that they no longer offer the toy assembly class with a take-home toy, which was the primary reason for our visit. It’s already quite costly, and now there’s nothing to take back home. We won’t be returning and will spend our money elsewhere.
The venue was smaller than anticipated, and while we were told everything was included, there was an extra fee for the virtual ride. Furthermore, the customer service was lacking; the cashier seemed annoyed when we were checking out. If my granddaughter hadn't loved a couple of items, I would have chosen not to purchase anything.
We had a fantastic time at Lego Land Columbus. The place was tidy, and the staff were excellent. Blake was especially humorous and welcoming, and he along with Rob made my son feel special by admiring his impressive creations and allowing him to contribute to the wall of masterpieces. We're glad we decided to visit.
I would advise against spending your money here. My kids, ages 7 and 9, are huge Lego fans. They received all-access tickets and a gift card from Santa, and were excited to visit for the first time. While there, they picked out mini figures, but my son was disappointed when he noticed they were all the same. We were told about a 'brick master' downstairs for trades, which sounded promising. The photo pass included allowed us to take multiple pictures, but we couldn't scan our cards for most of them, which was frustrating. The initial virtual factory tour was entertaining, and the first ride was enjoyable with a reasonable wait. However, after seeing some Lego builds of Ohio cities, we found ourselves in a main area mainly focused on building. There was a second ride and a small theater, both of which the kids loved. Just a heads up, one area can get wet. Unfortunately, the promised brick master was never present for trades, and employees seemed poorly trained in customer service, which marred the experience further. Despite my children's efforts to engage with the various activities, we were ready to leave after just an hour and a half. The lack of additional photo opportunities was disappointing since the sole chance to capture memories was at the entrance, where we all wore heavy coats. The gift shop was also a letdown, with half the shelves empty and a malfunctioning payment system that left us unable to make any purchases. After driving almost two hours to spend the day here, we ended up at the Ohio History Center instead, which I would highly recommend. Later, I discovered that the only pictures uploaded to my account were empty ride shots, and there was no system to connect our pictures to our group since we hadn’t scanned our cards during the ride. Although my kids had a bit of fun, I was deeply disappointed. I spent nearly $150 for two all-access and two basic admissions, and there are plenty of better options in Columbus for families. If your child is under five, they might enjoy it, but be aware there wasn't much Lego material throughout the place. I've visited the Chicago location before, and it felt much more impressive. Save your money; just buy another set of Legos instead. Also, while outside food policies were supposedly in place, many families, including us, appeared to have packed lunches and water bottles.
We enjoyed over two and a half hours at this place and had a fantastic time with our 7-year-old. She interacted with other kids, built a Lego frog, and even chatted with a master builder. We also watched four different shows in the theater. The coffee shop was excellent, and the memories we created were definitely worthwhile.
We bought tickets only to find out that a child was required for entry. While this wasn’t the Lego facility’s fault, it was misleading that this information wasn’t clearly stated beforehand. Since the facility couldn’t issue a refund, we ended up giving our tickets to another family. We lost $60 but managed to make another family happy.
This activity is geared specifically toward families with children. It should be clearly stated in large text, as I found it only in small print on the website. When I reached out to the company for clarification, they didn't mention this.
