This was our second experience with Let’s Roam scavenger hunt. It’s an enjoyable, affordable, and simple way to spend quality time with the family. I highly recommend it!
Initially, paying for the hunt was simple, but downloading and registering turned out to be quite difficult. Once we managed that, we appreciated the interesting facts about each location. However, the app required us to upload a photo to verify we found an item, which became confusing as we struggled to navigate to the next site. We resorted to using a second iPhone to find our way to buildings, churches, and gardens. Eventually, we lost patience and decided to explore on our own, using the other device to research things of interest. Despite having a tech-savvy group made up of a 60-year-old, a 40-year-old, and a teenager, I had hoped for a smooth and enjoyable experience, but the app's complexity hindered that. While I don't want to sound overly negative, I expected more user-friendliness from a modern app. I intend to buy another hunt in hopes of a better experience, as I believe the concept is excellent and others may have better luck with the app. After attempting to upload photos for this review without success, I think I'm finally finished.
It was a unique activity that really encouraged you to pay attention to your surroundings with the trivia questions. I just wish it guided you back closer to your starting point.
