We had an incredible time on our family Jeep tour exploring Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Our guide, Gizmo, made the experience truly memorable with his deep knowledge of the area's history and culture, delivered in an engaging manner. His personality stood out as he mixed captivating insights with excellent dad jokes, keeping everyone—teens and seniors alike—amused throughout the tour. It’s rare to find someone who can engage such a diverse group so well. This was certainly one of the finest guided tours we've experienced. We strongly recommend this adventure and Adventures Out West to anyone traveling in the region.
Gizmo served as our tour guide in an open-air jeep and was both knowledgeable and friendly, sharing insights throughout our two-part tour. We began and concluded at the stunning Garden of the Gods, a remarkable city park with breathtaking scenery and mountain goats on narrow ridges. Although the trip up Pikes Peak was sunny, it was also cold and windy; thankfully, we were provided with clean wool blankets and large jackets. The views from the top were incredible. The visitor center and museum revealed the long history of people racing to the summit and exploring the peak. This experience is truly unique. Be sure to drink plenty of water to combat altitude sickness.
AxMan, our guide from Adventures Out West, was exceptional during our College Women's Reunion in Colorado Springs. His knowledge of the Garden of the Gods, covering geology, wildlife, vegetation, and history, was impressive. His humor and intellectual curiosity made the experience even more enjoyable. He was a fantastic communicator and connected well with everyone on the tour. If you book the Garden of the Gods Jeep Tour, definitely request him; you won't regret it.
Chipita was an exceptional and captivating guide. Every guide we encountered was fantastic. The views were unparalleled, and Chipita's storytelling made us feel connected to the history. This is definitely a must-do on your travel list!
My nephew and I took a 4-hour guided Jeep tour of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. It was snowy and chilly, and some areas of Pikes Peak were closed. The heated seats kept us warm, and our driver adjusted the route to let us access Pikes Peak as the gates opened after snow clearance. We enjoyed numerous historical insights and discussions about current events. This Jeep trip spared my nephew's car from the climb and provided him with a chance to explore. Overall, it was a beautiful and engaging experience.
I was given the keys to a customized Jeep by our fearless driver and host, Cougar, and suddenly I found myself as both explorer and navigator. Colorado Springs, particularly the Garden of the Gods, showcased stunning sandstone formations, each with a designated name and captivating story. Balanced Rock was perfect, Kissing Camels was a bit obvious but commendable, and Cathedral Spires brought an element of drama. I couldn’t help but think how my own naming efforts lacked such creativity. Cougar expertly maneuvered the Jeep through the terrain, taking breaks for photos as if he was familiar with every curve. The trading post offered a delightful mix of souvenirs, including surprises like a pound of fudge, while the Visitor Center provided educational insights and a gentle reminder that nature precedes us all. In summary, this experience combined stunning geology, countless photo opportunities, and an urge to start naming things in life with more creativity. Thank you, Cougar, for being such a flexible companion on this adventure, along with all my nicknames, Robert/Jim/Joe/Chuck/Sam.
Wild Bill was incredibly entertaining and informative, making the experience truly enjoyable with his great personality.
The 2-hour tour was fantastic; seeing the Bighorn sheep was truly thrilling. Our guide, Ponderosa, had a wealth of knowledge, and I will certainly recommend this tour to my friends when they come to visit. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
What an incredible tour! Wyatt, our Trail boss, made it enjoyable and interactive. Celebrating Mother’s Day with this jeep tour was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely return.
Craig “Gizmo” was excellent. He provided informative commentary, kept things entertaining, and prioritized safety throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.
