My first hot air balloon experience was incredible. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and truly amazing. The breakfast and mimosas added to the enjoyment. Thank you!
This experience could not have been more perfect. After a disappointing reservation process with another company, I found Adventures Out West and booked my hot air balloon ride without delay, receiving instant confirmation. However, it's important to note that reservations require a minimum of two people, so solo travelers might want to check directly with the company. The meeting point is about an hour’s drive from Denver, and we arrived just in time for sunrise. The team was friendly and welcoming, even that early. As we traveled to the launch site, they provided a safety briefing while preparing the balloon, which took about 45 minutes. It’s a tight space in the basket, so having a friend along made it much more enjoyable. The flight was nothing short of spectacular, gliding peacefully over Colorado Springs at 2,000 feet. We had the chance to see wildlife and an airplane take off below us, making it a breathtaking experience. When our ground crew got stuck in a ditch, our pilot, T-Dogg, handled the situation professionally, keeping us informed while we flew for nearly two hours instead of the planned duration. We eventually landed softly in the driveway of the Pikes Peak outdoor gun club, and the landing was surprisingly gentle, a credit to T-Dogg’s piloting skills. Although the ground crew couldn’t get free, they quickly arranged for a modified Jeep to take us back, where we were greeted with refreshments, including a celebratory champagne toast. This hot air balloon experience was a long-standing dream for me, and I couldn't have asked for a better adventure with Adventures Out West.
The ride was excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking enjoyable experiences. We look forward to returning to do this again next year.
The highlight of the experience was seeing the incredible view from over 12,000 feet above the ground, all without an airplane. It truly puts into perspective our smallness and the greatness of God.
The day was beautiful, and the ride was fantastic. I finally checked off a long-standing item from my bucket list. Terry and Greg were both excellent.
The flight was tranquil, and the pilot was highly skilled, making for an unforgettable experience. The views were spectacular, offering a unique perspective of the mountains.
Our hot air balloon ride was fantastic. The float was smooth, and the views were incredible. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
It was a fantastic experience! Watching the balloon being set up was amazing. There's something thrilling about being at the mercy of the winds. The pilot showed great skill, and the breakfast along with the champagne toast added to the enjoyment.
The flight was canceled just an hour before our scheduled arrival. It was supposed to be the highlight of our holiday, and we organized everything around it. I woke up at 4am to get a text at 5:45 informing me of the cancellation. The pilot claimed it was due to weather, but the skies were clear by 7am. When I spoke with him, he mentioned cloud cover, but it felt like he had just woken up. I’m no pilot, but I have good vision, and there were no clouds at 7am when we were supposed to meet at 6:45. I paid $770 for a 3-hour experience that didn’t happen and now expect a full refund.
We thoroughly enjoyed our hot air balloon experience. It was our first time, and the crew was fantastic. The views and the ride itself were simply stunning.
