This full-day catamaran excursion begins with a scenic 2-hour drive from Panama City to historic Portobelo, a Spanish port founded in 1597. You can join at your accommodation at 7:00 AM or meet at the dock by 9:00 AM to board the speedboat to the catamaran.
The first stop is Venas Azules, a stunning turquoise lagoon where you'll spend 1.5 hours exploring via dinghy, swimming, or relaxing in shallow waters. Following this, sail for 30 minutes to Playa Drake, where you have 2.5 hours for snorkeling over vibrant coral reefs, paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply enjoying the beach. A local meal is served onboard at 1 PM before you cruise back to Portobelo, leaving you with memories of a truly unique day.

If you're pressed for time in Panama City, I recommend this tour. The boat may be older and not what I anticipated, but it was comfortable, and the captain along with the staff were fantastic. Venas Azules and Drake Beach are adventurous hidden gems. Plus, the drive from the city to Colón was beautiful, highlighting authentic parts of Panama. I would certainly do this again.
It was an enjoyable experience sailing with a friendly crew, and the entire journey along with the destinations was stunning.
I cannot recommend this company. Our experience was terrible. A group of 14 paid in full 48 hours before the trip, but the night before, Jenny informed us that the speaker was broken and we agreed to a smaller one. On the trip day, just before arriving at Portobello, she informed us that the yacht's bathroom was also not working. It was unacceptable for a full day outing with food and drinks. We requested a discount or another solution, but she only offered $4 off per person and changed our route for a public bathroom elsewhere, significantly altering our trip. When we discussed this as a group, Jenny became pushy and rude, leading us to cancel the trip, for which she did issue a refund. The only positive was the transportation from Panama City to Portobello, where the driver was very nice; however, she asked for a photo of us upon returning to the city to pay the driver. Jenny clearly needs to improve her customer service skills.
We had an amazing day on the water! Lucas and Juan-David were incredibly friendly and informative about the area. Swimming, snorkeling, and the delicious lunch Lucas prepared exceeded our expectations. It's hard to believe such great food can come from a catamaran. This excursion in Portobello is a must-do.
The catamaran excursion with Jenny and Captain Juan David was fantastic. After being picked up from our hotel, we enjoyed a two-hour drive to Porto Bello, where the stunning Caribbean awaited. We swam in a tranquil lagoon, fished, snorkeled, searched for seashells, and swung on a beach only reachable by boat. My son caught a fish that Jenny prepared for us, and it was delicious. The Caribbean is incredibly beautiful, but it can be a bit rough, so it’s wise to bring motion sickness medication just in case.
The Catamaran Experience was a fantastic way to explore Venas Azules. While it was somewhat pricey for the duration, we had the opportunity to engage in various activities. Since it was just the two of us, the boat was completely ours, alongside the captain and skipper. We also enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding together, as there was only one of each available.
Spending a Saturday exploring the Caribbean beaches in Panama was a fantastic decision. We enjoyed the clear inlet waters, went snorkeling, and spent the rest of the day at the peaceful Playa Blanca, where we relaxed and had a lovely lunch prepared by our provider. Juan David and Charlie were excellent hosts throughout the day. The excursion included transport to and from the port, making it all very convenient. Our driver Manuel was attentive and made multiple stops for food and restroom breaks. I highly recommend this experience for its value and the wide range of activities offered.

Juan David and Martin were fantastic, and everything went smoothly during our trip. We had an excellent time and I highly recommend this experience.
The boat had loud music playing throughout the day, making it hard to enjoy nature and tranquility. Our group included rowdy Americans drinking tequila by 9 am. The food offered was quite basic, and I felt disappointed, especially given the cost.
