Having visited Tasmania numerous times, we finally joined the Freycinet Walking Tour. The Freycinet peninsula is breathtaking, reminiscent of a movie scene. The tour offered a fantastic opportunity to explore a portion of this incredible landscape. Our guide Annie was very helpful and well-informed about the area's history and characteristics. This should be on your list of essential side trips.
Our experience walking in Freycinet National Park with Andrew was fantastic. He was warm, laid-back, and provided great insights about the region. The scenery was breathtaking, the beaches were beautiful, and the boat trip back, where we saw seals and a white-bellied eagle, was a highlight. This is a memorable day that’s definitely worth doing with a guide.
We enjoyed a fantastic hike to the Wine Glass Bay lookout and then down to the beach. Sara was both knowledgeable and entertaining, familiar with the area. She attended to the group's abilities to ensure everyone had an enjoyable experience. The boat ride at the end was a lovely conclusion. I would highly recommend this activity.
Spending time in such a stunning part of Tasmania was truly glorious. My guide, Andrew, was outstanding with his extensive local knowledge and understanding of the natural environment. I will always remember enjoying my lunch at Wineglass Bay, perched on the rocks while two dolphins played nearby. It was absolutely marvelous. I highly recommend this tour.
We had an incredible day. Andrew, our guide, was knowledgeable, professional, and enjoyable to be around. The other couple we hiked with added to the experience, and the weather was ideal for this stunning hike in Freycinet National Park. The return trip on the Aqua Express was an added bonus. The entire package was fantastic, highlighted by a delicious lunch on the rocks overlooking Hourglass Bay. We even spotted a dolphin swimming in the bay right as we crossed over to Hazards Beach. It was truly perfect. Many thanks to Sara for organizing everything.
I would like to extend my gratitude to Andrew for an excellent day spent in Freycinet National Park. He adapted to the group's pace and was friendly, relaxed, and provided plenty of insight about the park, the wildlife, and Tasmania as a whole. Wineglass Bay was as breathtaking as the photos depict, and we thoroughly enjoyed our beachside lunch before making our way to Hazard’s Beach to catch the boat back, where we paused to observe the seals lounging on the island. This tour greatly enhanced our experience at Freycinet compared to just following the crowds. I also appreciate Sara for her outstanding communication and organizational skills. It was a fantastic trip, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Andrew, our guide, was exceptionally attentive and took the time to share his knowledge about the diverse wildlife we encountered during the hike. His genuine enthusiasm for the environment made the experience both engaging and enjoyable. Though our trip was initially delayed by a day due to poor weather, this turned out to be fortuitous as the rescheduled day provided much better conditions, and we appreciated the ability to adjust our plans. A highlight was the delicious homemade lunch at the breathtaking Wineglass Bay—an unforgettable location. We even had the opportunity for a refreshing swim in the clear waters before enjoying a scenic water taxi ride to a seal colony, which capped off our day perfectly. In summary, it was a well-organized and memorable outing. I highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to discover Tasmania’s natural beauty in a personal and unique manner.
