• Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Ooty Morning / Afternoon: Leave from Bangalore or Coimbatore From Bangalore → approximately 6–7 hours by road (cab/bus/train). From Coimbatore → around 1.5–2 hours by road. Drive through scenic hill valleys and forests to Ooty (the Queen of Nilgiris). Afternoon: Check in at your hotel in Ooty. Relax, refresh, and have lunch. Visit Ooty Lake: A large, tranquil lake surrounded by eucalyptus trees. You can stroll along the promenade or optionally take paddle boat rides (approximately ₹300–₹500 locally). Evening: Stroll through Ooty Town Market. Purchase chocolates, essential oils, and homemade jams. Overnight: Ooty. Meals: Dinner at hotel/local restaurant. (Excluded) • Day 2 – Ooty Sightseeing Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Kumarakom, Kerala (approximately 8–9 hours). Travel through Wayanad/Kerala countryside, stopping for scenic photos or refreshments. Afternoon: Arrive in Kumarakom, check in at houseboat or backwater resort. Evening: Take an evening backwater boat ride on the peaceful Vembanad Lake, observing fishermen, coconut palms, and local village life. Relax at the houseboat or lakeside resort terrace. Meals: Breakfast included, lunch on the way, dinner at hotel/houseboat. Overnight: Kumarakom houseboat/resort. • Day 4 – Kumarakom Backwaters & Bird Sanctuary Morning: Breakfast at hotel/houseboat. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary: Look for migratory birds such as Siberian storks, herons, kingfishers, and egrets. Great for photography. Explore nearby traditional Kerala villages, and observe local handicrafts and coir-making. Afternoon: Take a Backwater Houseboat Cruise, gliding through palm-fringed canals and paddy fields while observing village life. Optional fishing experience or canoe ride in smaller canals. Evening: Enjoy sunset views over Vembanad Lake from the houseboat deck or hotel balcony. Savor a Kerala-style dinner featuring fresh local seafood or vegetarian specialties.
