• You will be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the Palani Murugan temple, located approximately 70 miles from Coimbatore. The journey to the temple lasts around two and a half hours, passing through rural areas in Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival, you will explore the temple with your guide who will share the narrative of Lord Murugan and the reasons for his journey from Mount Kailasa to Palani. The temple is located atop a hill, accessible to pilgrims via steps. Others have the options of a rope car or a funicular railway. There are 38 sub-temples connected to the main temple. The idol in the main temple is crafted from a blend of nine toxic substances, which in the right proportions create a powerful medicine. Many devotees come to this temple to perform tonsure as a sign of respect to Lord Murugan. After completing your visit, transportation will return you to a designated point or your hotel.
