11. Rural Tour through Maramures and Bukovina from Cluj
· 4 daysOur tour wants to showcase the slower, rural life in the regions of Maramures and Bukovina. We visit local craftsmen, experience food made by small, local guesthouses. Religion is very important here and church building & painting techniques are varied. This is why we visit wooden churches of Maramures as well as Moldavian monasteries in Bukovina. A break from the norm is the Happy Cemetery in Sapanta, but also the egg painting demonstration in Vama. We choose higher than average hotels and guesthouses to ensure you have the comfort you need.
