Gail, our tour guide, was very pleasant, but unfortunately, she lacked knowledge about the city’s history, architecture, and fascinating stories about its residents. My husband and I enjoy walking tours in various cities, and this one was the most disappointing we've experienced. I question whether Gail has ever participated in a walking tour in Cleveland or elsewhere. While she pointed out several buildings, she couldn’t provide any historical context about them or their inhabitants. Most notably, she took us to a few statues and merely asked us to read their inscriptions. If you're seeking a tour that identifies buildings and highlights a few statues, this one might suffice. However, if you want to delve into Cleveland’s rich history, development, politics, and notable achievements, this tour falls short. Additionally, we enjoyed a fantastic walking tour in Cincinnati just five days later, packed with in-depth history and intriguing stories. On a positive note, Gail did exhibit a genuine pride for her city, and she appeared to be a really nice person.
Gail, our tour guide, was excellent. She shared a wealth of information about Cleveland's history and culture, and she was very patient, addressing all our questions. I would certainly recommend this tour.
This tour provided an excellent glimpse into downtown Cleveland and its history. The guide, a retired teacher, was fantastic, and the pace was very comfortable.
Downtown Cleveland was a fantastic place to explore. We enjoyed a 2.5-hour private tour led by our guide Gaël, who shared a wealth of information about the city's history and its architectural features. This tour is a must when visiting Cleveland.
Steve, a local from Cleveland, provided an engaging tour that covered the history of the buildings and area, revealing hidden gems behind the ornate facades. It was a fantastic experience.
The guide was pleasant and well-informed, making the tour quite engaging. I highly recommend it.
Gail was an excellent guide, showcasing downtown Cleveland with a wealth of knowledge. She shared many interesting facts, and I particularly enjoyed the arcade buildings and the grocery store that used to be a bank.
For an exceptional walking tour in Cleveland, request Gail! We just completed a tour with her, which became a standout experience of our visit. Gail's deep knowledge of Cleveland’s history is enhanced by her engaging storytelling. She is very patient, responds to every inquiry in detail, and has a wonderful sense of humor. She adjusted the pace to fit our group perfectly, making sure we saw all the highlights. Her enthusiasm for Cleveland is clear and contagious. I highly recommend her!
Cleveland has done a great job of keeping its history alive as the city has evolved. Our guide, Gail, was impressively knowledgeable while leading us through downtown, particularly in the Public Square area. It was a pleasant day, allowing us to explore sites like Terminal Tower and the Cleveland Hotel among others. I was grateful for Gail's comfortable walking pace and the abundance of historical insights she provided. It was a fun and informative experience.
We really enjoyed our experience, thank you. The guide was knowledgeable, engaged with the material, and provided valuable insights. Overall, it was a fantastic time.
