Captain Michael was exceptional, serving not only as a skilled boat driver but as a knowledgeable tour guide as well. He accompanied us on the islands, providing explanations about wildlife and tides for the kids. He assisted us in finding the best shells and used his local expertise to locate dolphins. He successfully brought one to play in our wake and, after observing jumps from a large tourist boat, knew to stay nearby. We ended up surrounded by a pod of dolphins swimming around our boat for 30 minutes. This was one of the most extraordinary experiences of our lives.
We enjoyed a beautiful two-hour evening boat ride where we got to explore Caladesi Island for fishing and shell collecting. Captain Matt was engaging and very knowledgeable about the area. The experience was reasonably priced, and we plan to book a longer trip next time. He ensured we had time to relish the sunset, making our evening the best part of our Clearwater Beach trip.
