Reviews
Michael, our tour guide, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The tour lasted an hour and a half on a hot July day, and Michael was mindful of our need for shade. He shared an interesting history of the events surrounding the scandal and included several historic buildings, some of which have seen better days. One improvement could be to provide laminated photos of the buildings in their prime. This tour comes highly recommended for baseball enthusiasts, but it may not be suitable for families with young children, as they might not find it engaging.
As White Sox fans visiting for the Reds vs. Braves game, we had high expectations for this tour, our 27th ballpark. Unfortunately, it fell short. The narratives were largely opinion-based and difficult to follow. A podcast would have provided more insight during our drive from Chicago. We appreciated the complimentary pass to the Hall of Fame museum included with the ticket, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this tour.
This tour was outstanding. Dean's extensive knowledge and engaging presentation made the 1919 baseball scandal truly come alive. I appreciated every moment of the experience.
The tour was both fascinating and informative. Greg, our guide, showcased his passion and enthusiasm for the subject through his impressive storytelling and knowledge.
I highly recommend this tour. Dean was an outstanding guide, providing insights into the fascinating history of baseball. Cincinnati's history and landmarks were seamlessly woven into the experience. The tickets also gave us access to the Reds Hall of Fame and History Museum, which we all enjoyed visiting before the game. We even ran into Dean the next day at Fountain Square, and he was very friendly. Thank you for a memorable experience.
The tour was very informative and had a surprising relevance to Cincinnati. It highlighted several behind-the-scenes figures who played key roles in the corruption and investigation of 1919. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in Cincinnati's baseball history. Mike is an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and engaging.
This tour was incredible, and our guide had a wealth of knowledge that made it very enjoyable. If you're a baseball fan, this experience is essential.
Our guide, Mike, genuinely enjoys his work, enhancing the overall experience. I joined my husband for a birthday celebration; he is the bigger baseball enthusiast, but I also found it fascinating. Mike intertwines baseball history with interesting tidbits about Cincinnati. Just be prepared for a fair amount of walking.
Michael was fantastic, brimming with knowledge and enthusiasm. He is undoubtedly the most passionate tour guide I've ever encountered.
Michael, our tour guide, was both kind and highly knowledgeable. He has a deep understanding of MLB history, including "8 Men Out," as well as the local culture. The tour was excellent, featuring engaging off-script insights, and was conducted with great professionalism. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
