Two hours of walking — explore Chattanooga's haunted sites with a family-friendly guide sharing true tales along the Tennessee Riverwalk.
This two-hour walking tour dives into Chattanooga's spooky history, making it engaging for all ages. Starting at Ross Landing, you'll stroll along the Tennessee Riverwalk, where the picturesque views conceal chilling local legends and tales from the Civil War era.
As you walk, your guide will share stories of ghosts and mysteries surrounding landmarks like the Hunter Museum of American Art and the haunted May's Urban Mansion. The tour also includes a visit to Cherry Street and concludes at the Tennessee Aquarium, where a final spooky story awaits under the night sky.
Reviews
The tour requires enhancements. Initially, the guide's attire did not reflect a ghostly theme as expected; good tours often incorporate some roleplaying. Additionally, the stories lacked engagement, and more context about the ghosts would have been beneficial. The experience ended 45 minutes early with little clarification, leaving us feeling we didn't receive our money's worth. While the guide was friendly, it's clear he hasn't been adequately trained by the tour operator.
Caleb provided an excellent experience just for my husband and me on this tour. He shared captivating stories about Chattanooga and the nearby areas, making it both fun and memorable.
They canceled on the day of the tour and claimed that all sales were final, so no refund was possible. I would rate this experience a 0 out of 10 and recommend avoiding this company.
While I appreciated our guide, Huckleberry, I found the ghost walk lacking. Typically, such tours explore the town and highlight buildings with potential ghost sightings or relevant histories. I think the town has a rich history that deserved more attention.
Randy made for an excellent host during our family-friendly ghost tour. We really enjoyed exploring downtown Chattanooga while learning about its history and some spooky stories. It was a wonderful way to spend an enjoyable evening together as a family.
Caleb was fantastic and addressed all our inquiries! He was very pleasant and had a talent for storytelling. We were really happy to have taken the tour and discovered parts of downtown we might not have noticed otherwise.
We had a fantastic time in Chattanooga! I went with my 7 1/2-year-old, and we gained a lot of knowledge from our guide, who was not only knowledgeable but also polite and funny. The walk was enjoyable too. We give it 5 out of 5 spooky stars.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Randy was an excellent host, addressing everyone's inquiries and providing engaging conversation. I'm now eager to read more about the ghost stories, although my wife won't allow me to explore them alone.
The tales were both eerie and steeped in history. We all had a great time. The stroll was manageable, and the city’s beauty added to the experience.
Randy was an excellent guide! We gained valuable insights about Chattanooga and the ghosts that inhabit the city.
