Ruby Falls
Chattanooga, USA

Ruby Falls is an underground waterfall located within Lookout Mountain, formed by water seeping through limestone. Discovered in 1928 by Leo Lambert, the falls cascade 44 metres and are illuminated for visitors, creating a striking contrast against the rugged rock formations that surround them.
Guided tours provide access to the falls and can take around an hour. The cooler temperatures of the cave offer a welcome respite during hot summer months, and the area includes an observation deck for scenic views of the valley. It's worth noting that the tour can be crowded on weekends.
