Reviews
My son and I had a wonderful time on the solar boat dinner cruise around Charlottetown harbour. The food was exceptional, and we enjoyed the entertainment provided by a guitarist. Steve shared fascinating insights about the solar boat's history from Expo '67 and highlighted important landmarks along the shoreline. I highly recommend this experience.
The ship was small yet created a cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious; we enjoyed the chicken, Caesar salad, and homemade rolls, so we can't comment on the lobster roll. Our guide was both entertaining and knowledgeable, encouraging questions and providing thorough answers that enhanced understanding. The breadth of information shared was impressive.
This experience was both engaging and informative. You will truly enjoy it. There are plenty of fantastic sights to see, and I gained a lot of knowledge about PEI and the history of the Solar Boat.
The boat ride around the harbor in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, was enjoyable at a leisurely pace. It was both relaxing and informative.
This experience was a total letdown, feeling excessively long for a cruise to nowhere. Even the entertaining guide with his insights and trivia couldn't salvage it. It seemed like a great option initially, but don't fall into the same trap as we did. The distance covered was just a quarter-mile or less, and there are far better excursions available. The only reason for giving it one star is for the delicious lobster cone.
Due to our age and mobility challenges, we were unable to navigate the boarding ladder and missed out on the tour. We reached out to the operator, but he couldn't offer a refund or credit. I would not recommend this tour.
I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Steve was friendly and knowledgeable, and I found the solar boat fascinating, especially learning about its history. It was an enjoyable journey.
Experiencing Prince Edward Island this way was unique. The presenter was excellent. However, I wish I had known about the lunch option when I made my booking, as it seems to be available only through the cruise line or the tour site.
The two guides, both the captain and co-captain, had fantastic senses of humor and kept us entertained while sharing historical insights.
The ride was enjoyable, but it leaned more towards entertainment than sightseeing. The guide was funny, although you could only view the town of Charlottetown through binoculars they provided. I noticed that the admission cost was considerably cheaper if purchased onshore compared to online for my cruise.
