The experience was truly delightful. Madison, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the island and its history, which made it enjoyable to learn. Discovering L.M. Montgomery's life and her inspirations for Anne of Green Gables was particularly fascinating.
We had a very engaging and well-informed guide named Gavin. Our experience was enjoyable, and we gained a lot of knowledge about Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island.
Gavin, our tour guide, was outstanding and made sure all of our questions were addressed. The tour offered stunning views, a comfortable vehicle, convenient parking, and pleasant short walks at each stop. Having the guide and vehicle to ourselves was a real treat. We would definitely choose this again on our next visit.
Avoid booking your tour through Sea Sight or Viator. I had a terrible experience with a 4-hour PEI Premium Tour featuring Anne of Green Gables. I reserved it six months prior for six people at $117 each, but received a last-minute notification changing our departure from 9 AM to 1:15 PM, with little choice to cancel. We went ahead as we wanted to see the site despite our ship leaving at 4:30 PM. This cut our tour down to just 2.5 hours. When I sought help from Viator's support, they offered no assistance. The driver arrived late, and we ended up with only 20 minutes at the Anne of Green Gables house and gift shop, with no stops at several promised locations like the lighthouse or Beaconsfield House. We were confused by an unexpected 15-minute stop at Dunes Cafe without any prior request. Filing a complaint with Viator proved challenging, as they were unresponsive to phone calls and emails. They did offer a $40 partial refund, but I've since learned from other guides that Sea Sight has a poor reputation, and their tours continue to be sold despite known issues. I would recommend booking with other companies like Shore Excursions Group or ToursByLocals instead. Overall, buying a premium tour through Viator or Sea Sight was not worth the cost. I'm still waiting for Viator to reach out to me.
The tour was informative and showcased beautiful autumn colors. However, the guide seemed somewhat unprepared. It would be beneficial to expand the Anne of Green Gables portion to include both sites.
Gavin was fantastic! Without a doubt, he provided one of the finest tour experiences I've ever had. I'm very grateful!
Gavin is the finest tour guide I've encountered. Having grown up on Prince Edward Island, he imparted a wealth of knowledge about his life there. He was extremely professional and well-informed.
This was absolutely a highlight of our journey. Darlene, our tour guide, was fantastic and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing her beautiful province. She was understanding and always ensured we explored what interested us. This tour offers a wonderful overview of the island with an authentic local guide. If possible, we would rate it a 10 out of 5 due to the exceptional guide!
It was a fascinating experience with plenty of information provided by the guide. Since it was off-season, there were only a few people, and I enjoyed visiting Anne’s House with the green gables.
Madison was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She provided humor and offered valuable insights into all the places we visited, sharing a lot of interesting history. It was truly an enjoyable experience.
