Four hours guided tour to Green Gables and Prince Edward Island National Park, including a fishing harbour stop and a visit to the Preserve Company.
This half-day tour explores the iconic Green Gables Shore, a region central to L.M. Montgomery’s ‘Anne of Green Gables.’ Departing from Charlottetown, you’ll visit both the Green Gables Heritage House and the expansive Prince Edward Island National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of the rolling farmland, sandy beaches, and dramatic sandstone cliffs.
You’ll also stop at a local fishing harbour and pass by various oyster and mussel farms. The trip includes time to shop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company, where you can find artisan preserves, fine teas, and local giftware. The tour returns to Charlottetown in four hours, leaving you with time to explore the downtown area further.

The guide and driver were fantastic. They were very well-informed about the area and had an excellent way of sharing the town's history.
The tour was fantastic. Our guides provided a wealth of information and were very accommodating, sharing the island's history and beauty with us. It was clear they were passionate about their work and about the island.
For fans of the book, exploring the home and its grounds is a delight. The walk through the haunted forest is enjoyable, and the gift shop has a great selection.
I was unaware of the historical background related to the tales of Anne of Green Gables and the fact that the author had penned numerous books.
Visiting Green Gables offered very little time for exploration. You wait in line only to be rushed through the house, missing out on the grounds and the informative exhibits. A lengthy stop at a local jam and jelly shop supposedly to use the restrooms was unnecessary, as decent facilities are available at Green Gables if time permitted. Overall, this was the most disappointing tour I've experienced.
We had a great time! We completed this tour just two days before our trip concluded, but I believe it would have been more beneficial at the start. The tour offers a comprehensive overview of the top tourist attractions on the island, allowing you to revisit them later for a more enjoyable experience. If your stay in PEI is brief, I highly recommend this tour; if you're there longer, aim to do it within the first few days.
This excursion was fantastic. Our guide displayed remarkable knowledge and highlighted every detail you could think of.
Great chance to experience the local culture and way of life, including fishing, agriculture, and education. We visited the Mikmak Indian area and stopped at the home of author Lucy Montgomery, which offered a nice hour-long stroll. Maura was an excellent guide.
The tour was professional, informative, and conducted by friendly guides.
The tour was excellent, and our guide had a wealth of knowledge. As a fan of Anne of Green Gables, I found the house somewhat lacking, but that had nothing to do with the fantastic guide.
