Approximately two hours of guided walking — explore Georgian and Gothic architecture, Province House, and the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
This guided walking tour of Charlottetown begins at Confederation Landing on the waterfront. You’ll stroll up Great George Street, where you can observe the local architectural evolution, featuring Georgian and Gothic Revival styles side by side.
The tour covers the historic grounds of Province House, the spot where Confederation was born, before moving towards Victoria Row. You'll also see the Confederation Centre of the Arts, home to the famous Anne of Green Gables play, running for over 50 years. Notable stops along the way include the Beaconsfield Historic House and the Government House of Prince Edward Island, showcasing stunning examples of brutalist architecture.
The tour loops back towards the start along the scenic Victoria Boardwalk, providing a charming view of the waterfront and local area.

This tour was fantastic, and our guide was excellent. He had a wealth of knowledge and provided insightful answers to all our questions. Rob was extremely friendly, making the experience enjoyable. Thank you.
The tour guide had an impressive knowledge of PEI and shared fascinating stories about Charlottetown. I gained a lot of insights to share with my family in British Columbia and Washington State.
Grayson, our tour guide, was both amiable and knowledgeable. This experience offered an excellent opportunity to explore the history of Charlottetown over the course of two hours.
I was very satisfied with this walking tour. The meeting point was easy to locate, and with just four participants, it felt quite personal. San was exceptionally knowledgeable and articulated everything clearly. The pace was comfortable, allowing us to see a lot in two hours. I also appreciated the great recommendation for a lobster roll. Thank you.
The meeting point was conveniently located, with plenty of activities nearby. My guide, Joe, was easy to recognize and had impressive knowledge of the town's architecture. The two trainee guides were great, and we had fun searching for Eckhardt during the tour. We capped off the experience with a delightful waffle cone at Cows.
The town was charming and easy to explore, but our guide Annalise was quite inexperienced, as we were her very first group. While she was a delightful and cheerful person, she didn't possess the knowledge or training needed for this job.
The group moved at an extremely fast pace, making it difficult to hear the guide for most of the time. I struggled to see much of the surroundings because I was focused on navigating broken roads and sidewalks to avoid tripping. This was definitely one of the worst excursions I’ve experienced.
This walking tour was truly wonderful. We gained a wealth of knowledge about this beautiful and historic location. Our guide was exceptional—friendly, kind, and highly knowledgeable. It was an extra treat to discover that he is involved in a local community theater production, which we were fortunate to catch during our visit. The entire experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
A fantastic way to discover Charlottetown. The guide provided a lot of interesting information. I really enjoyed walking around the town.
Exploring Charlottetown was an enjoyable experience, especially with the lovely weather and the city's beauty. However, I found our guide's level of knowledge lacking, and I struggled to hear her at times. Considering this tour's price, which was double that of others, I didn't feel it was worth it.
