We had a fantastic afternoon with our guide Amy, who is truly a joy to be around. The food was diverse, tasty, and abundant. Although we live here, we discovered historical insights we hadn't known and added some new restaurants to our list.
Elisha was an excellent tour guide! The five restaurants we visited were all within a short walking distance. At each location, the small plate-sized portions offered a great variety, leaving us completely satisfied without needing dinner later. Elisha shared fascinating information about Charlottesville, UVA, and The Mall area. The timing at each stop was perfect, and the restaurants were prepared for our arrival. My favorite spots were Hamiltons, Tonic, and Bebedero. Some opted for cocktails, which were exceptionally good, especially those at Tonic and Bebedero. Highly recommend!
The food tour in Charlottesville was truly fantastic. Having experienced many food tours, I found this one to be among my favorites. Our guide Rob was not only knowledgeable but also engaging and friendly. The food tastings were excellent, and the stroll through the shaded "Mall" promenade was easy to manage. Our 87-year-old father, who has difficulty walking quickly or far, really appreciated the tour and found the pace comfortable. Everyone had their own favorite bites, but all the tasting experiences were delicious. I highly recommend this food tour for anyone visiting Charlottesville. Thank you, Rob, for a lovely experience.
There are many homeless individuals in the area, and the locals appear indifferent to the situation. The lack of police presence is also noticeable. You can imagine how wonderful this place once was and what it has the potential to become again.
