• Participants will start with self-introductions, followed by bike fittings and a brief safety discussion. Then the ride will commence. • The first cycling segment features a peaceful ride through expansive horse farms, showcasing beautiful barns and panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park, covering 5 miles. • A private dining experience awaits, overlooking the vineyards, where the guide will explain traditional wine-making methods prior to modern practices. Local snacks, entirely sourced from Central Virginia producers, will be served. • The second cycling segment involves riding along classic Virginia countryside roads, surrounded by historical estates and picturesque landscapes for 13 miles. • A substantial lunch featuring nutritious, locally-sourced food will be provided (more than a simple charcuterie board). This will be complemented by bottles of organically-grown white, rosé, and red wines. During lunch, the guide will share stories about viticulture and agricultural practices. Following the meal, there will be a guided walk alongside sheep and cattle, discussing the significance of ecological agriculture within a winery. • At the conclusion of the day, participants will return to their vehicles by 3:30 PM, allowing time to visit another winery if desired. Guests who arrived via Uber/Lyft can take advantage of a complimentary shuttle back to their accommodations in downtown Charlottesville.
