Reviews
The bus ride to the plantation featured an overly talkative driver who provided constant commentary. The four-hour tour felt excessively long, especially with a house tour that was difficult to endure due to the heat and cramped conditions. While the guide was knowledgeable, the amount of information shared was overwhelming. The plantation itself was not appealing, and on the return trip, the bus's air conditioning failed, with loud opera music playing throughout the journey. Overall, the maintenance of the plantation was lacking.
My visit to Magnolia Plantation was truly enjoyable. The tram tour was very informative, and the upgraded tram with new audio added to the experience. The landscape was also beautiful.
Magnolia Plantation provided a lovely experience. The gardens were stunning, and the house was interesting. Overall, it was a fantastic trip.
Spending a few hours amidst nature was a peaceful experience. The gardens and property are vibrant and filled with wildlife. The guide inside the house was excellent. Our driver and guide, Lexi, took us to the cabins, adding extra value with her extensive historical knowledge. This tour is best suited for adults, as it may not be particularly engaging for young people or children.
Alan, our bus driver, and the entire team at the Plantation were incredibly friendly and informative. Overall, it was an excellent tour that I highly recommend.
Anderson was incredible; his knowledge and entertainment made the tour enjoyable. I highly recommend joining his tour.
This tour is a must in the Charleston area. Our guide, Anderson, was informative, lively, and had a great sense of humor. The plantation's grounds are stunning, including the home, wildlife tram, and gardens. It was an all-around enjoyable experience.
The house tour and our driver were engaging, but the tram tour didn't justify the wait, as there was little to see given the season. The staff were very pleasant, but with the rainy weather, we couldn't explore the grounds. It would have been better to shorten the experience to just the house tour and a brief 15-minute visit to the gardens. We spent at least 3.5 hours, which felt excessive considering the offerings and weather.
For those who appreciate nature, this experience offers a delightful mix of flowers, alligators, and swampland. It truly highlights how the land has evolved through exceptional care.
The Magnolia Plantation was truly stunning. We had a wonderful time visiting. Our guide Shawn was exceptional.
