Avoid paying in advance. My card was charged twice, leaving me with limited funds. I'm planning to contact customer service today to file a complaint, but I anticipate it might take a while before I receive a refund.
While the whales were elusive, the dolphins were very active. A big thanks to the captain for extending our time on the water in hopes of spotting the whales.
Make sure to pack binoculars, a rain jacket (even if it looks dry), cash for tips, and some patience. The lower level has a full bar. The crew and captain are friendly, helpful, and well-informed. The waters can get a bit rough, so consider bringing SeaBands. It's an enjoyable way to explore Cape May.
We had a good time on our trip despite the dolphins and whales not being responsive to our calls. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and the boat was clean and comfortable. They welcomed our doberman pinscher, which we appreciated. It's great that the boat is ADA accessible as well.
We had a fantastic time with my partner and our dog. We encountered numerous dolphins, whales, and birds during our outing. Plus, it was wonderful to find a dog-friendly experience.
On our way back, we received news of whale sightings, prompting us to turn around to see a mother and her calf. We returned at 6 PM, and I believe the company potentially lost money on this additional excursion. I was excited to spot both dolphins and whales.
The captain may take the time to extend the trip for you to witness whale activities. It was a stunning experience.
Dress warmly and don't forget to bring your binoculars for a fun outing with family and friends. Make sure to check out the gift shop during your visit.
My husband and I, residing in Delaware, initially planned to take the Cape May Lewes Ferry to Cape May for a whale watching tour. However, two days before our trip, he realized I had mistakenly scheduled both the ferry and the tour for Saturday instead of Friday. I called the ferry service, but they couldn’t change our reservation due to being fully booked. Next, I contacted Cape May Whale Watching, and they were very accommodating, allowing us to switch to Friday. On the day of the trip, we decided to drive and were both thrilled. Arriving about 45 minutes early (they recommend 30 minutes), we had time to explore a bit. Once aboard, everything went smoothly as we settled in on the upper deck and waited for departure. We first stopped to see a pod of dolphins. Although my husband and I have seen dolphins numerous times while vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland, we understood that many on board may not have, so we were happy to watch. As we ventured further, we saw even more dolphins and stopped again. The captain mentioned that where dolphins are present, whales could be nearby, but we didn't spot any whales at that time. We ended up seeing over 150 dolphins, including two calves. On our return, I spotted a Bald Eagle and joked with my husband about it. Just moments later, the captain confirmed it was indeed a Bald Eagle, which I found quite amusing. The trip was very educational, providing historical insights about the region and interesting facts about dolphins. There’s a snack bar on the boat where my husband enjoyed a local beer while I had a can of water and cheese curls. I was initially confused thinking he brought me a beer until I realized it was just water, which made sense since it was in a can rather than a plastic bottle to prevent it from going overboard. The boat also had restrooms. While we didn’t see any whales, we still had a delightful experience. Be sure to bring a jacket, as it can be chilly with the wind, and don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen. We overlooked the sunscreen, resulting in my husband getting sunburned on his face. We will definitely consider going out with them again.
My daughter and I enjoyed this cruise on Mother's Day and it was fantastic! We spotted numerous dolphins and had beautiful weather. The boat was quite comfortable, with clean restrooms and a snack bar. Our guide was both entertaining and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience.
