Reviews
The scavenger hunt in Cape Cod doesn't offer much insight into the history, landmarks, or architecture of Hyannis. We mainly interacted with locals for photos, which made it feel like we could have been anywhere. Additionally, the Canva format was somewhat challenging to navigate. However, it was enjoyable to stroll around on a sunny day.
We had a good time trying out the activity, though it didn't go as smoothly as we hoped due to several technical issues. Despite that, we shared many laughs and even found some delicious bakeries. It was a bit confusing initially, and it took us some time to get organized. We would likely give it another shot. Overall, we think it's a fantastic idea.
We appreciated the support we received whenever we needed it, along with the encouragement from others. It was a fantastic experience filled with plenty of laughter, and we would definitely do it again without hesitation.
Only one person in your group needs a "ticket" since there’s no one on-site. Upon arrival, you're sent a generic introductory video and a PowerPoint with confusing "missions." It felt like a huge waste of both time and money. After reviewing the mission list, we opted not to participate. A scavenger hunt should genuinely involve a search. I've never felt so let down.
Interacting with friendly strangers throughout the town made this activity enjoyable. The tasks were entertaining, and it was great to explore different areas while passing the time. Although it starts off a bit confusing, once you understand it, the experience becomes really fun.
The WhatsApp service was completely unreliable, making communication impossible. The poor connectivity in town prevented us from participating in the game, leaving me very disappointed.
This experience was not a traditional scavenger hunt at all. It required tech skills we weren't prepared for. Instead of clues guiding us through Hyannis, we received generic tasks to choose from. We later found out that this company runs hunts in 600 locations, which explains the lack of local customization. We were left feeling quite disappointed.
The scavenger hunt led us to the wrong town, which was quite frustrating. The organization was lacking, and our score of 51 million was never included in the leaderboard.
We were quite disappointed with our experience. It turned out that only one ticket was needed because no one was there to check us in, which meant we wasted over $200 for our group of eight. When my mom discovered this outing online, it seemed like it would be more guided, helping us explore new places on the Cape. Instead, it consisted of various tasks, leaving us to figure things out on our own. We expected guidance and clues leading us to different sites, but instead, it was about picking a task and submitting a photo without any communication about next steps. The presentation we received felt unhelpful, and the tasks often led us nowhere significant. Essentially, it was just a collection of challenges to complete in public, which might be enjoyable for a party atmosphere but not for those wanting to learn about or see the town.
The experience allows you to explore downtown Hyannis on foot through a slide presentation, leading you to various sites and activities. If you're unfamiliar with the area, it feels somewhat like a self-guided walking tour.
