This two-hour guided walking tour begins in San Antonio square, where you’ll explore the urban centre of Santoña. The tour highlights marine-themed murals that narrate the town's rich fishing history, alongside visits to key sites like the Manzanedo palace and institute.

As you walk, the culinary experience of Santoña comes alive with tastings of the region's signature skewer, the Gilda. The tour includes stops at three local establishments, where you’ll sample two Gildas at each location, complemented by wine, must, or water. The experience ends at Manuel Andujar square, also known as del Peralvillo, where you'll enjoy your final gastronomic treat.

Following a group introduction, initial information about the fishing village and the square will be provided. • Our first stop will be the 19th-century Manzanedo Institute, notable for its neoclassical facade and historical educational significance. • Next, we will visit the former residence of the Marquis of Manzanedo, a neoclassical palace with a quadrangular design, reflecting the Roman domus. It currently houses the Santoña city council. • An artistic segment will feature a marine-themed mural, inspired by the works of Cantabrian author José María de Pereda. • The first tasting will include gilda skewers paired with a choice of wine, water, or a soft drink. • We will explore the square that once hosted Santoña's original town hall, a historic site where another mural fresco can be seen. • The second tasting will involve fresh anchovies served with a wedge of cheese, along with a choice of wine, water, or a soft drink. • As we walk along this street, we will spot a unique mural fresco illustrating businesses that were once located here, showcasing original artwork. • We will pause at a charming spot in Santoña to take in the lively atmosphere of the square and the captivating sculptural complex situated at its center. • The final tasting stop will present two additional gilda skewers, along with a choice of wine, water, or a soft drink.
