This experience isn't worth the high price; there are plenty of other engaging options available at better rates, and this one fails to deliver on the story as promised.
It deserves a 4.5 rating. We received a guided tour detailing each section of the palace, including the intriguing tale of the Nazi who concealed himself there before fleeing to America. There’s a photo opportunity featuring a king's shawl and sword, and the introductory video was unexpected and informative. The first floor has a fascinating surprise related to a writer, but I won’t spoil it. This place is definitely worth a visit.
Visiting this museum felt more like a house of terror meant to exploit visitors' money. The staff, particularly the girl at the entrance, seemed poorly trained, which is disappointing given the potential of the place.
I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 due to the cost. It would be great if the other monuments in Santillana were as engaging and up-to-date. The prices should be reconsidered. The guides did an excellent job.
The historic building offers a thrilling experience, blending its rich history with a mix of authentic decor and informative displays in each room. It functions as both a ghost house and a museum, making it intriguing for visitors of all ages. It’s advisable to take your time in each room and engage with a guide.
The visit was a delightful surprise for me. I’ll keep the details under wraps to preserve the experience for others, but I definitely recommend it, especially for kids. My 7-year-old daughter had a fantastic time.
Our visit to the Velarde Palace was both interesting and enjoyable. The recreation was excellent, and our guide Sara was very professional and friendly, clearly passionate about her work. We highly recommend this experience.
The history of Santillana is quite fascinating, but be cautious as the prices can be a bit on the high side. Overall, it offers an interesting narrative worth exploring.
This experience is quite captivating, especially for those who appreciate entertainment and a touch of drama. We utilized headsets for the English audio segments, as the tour primarily conducted in Spanish.
Visiting this place is absolutely worthwhile. The palace's residents share their stories, and after a guided half hour, you have plenty of free time to explore. You can take in the original furniture and fascinating histories in about an hour and a half. I think it’s perfect for kids aged 12 and up to learn about the history. The Halloween-themed visit also sounds appealing.
