We had an excellent time with our guide Layse. She was punctual, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Layse provided clear information at every stop, and we felt safe with her exceptional driving skills. The trip was well organized; we arrived on schedule, had ample time at each location, and returned home as planned. Everything matched the itinerary perfectly. A sincere thank you to Layse and the team for creating such a smooth and memorable experience.
My winter day trip was amazing, shared with another couple and our guide, Layse M. We visited several stunning locations, including Marble Canyon, Emerald Lake, and Lake Louise. Layse provided insightful information about the history and cultural significance of Banff National Park and its surrounding areas. Some parks, like Moraine Lake, are closed to the public during this season due to safety issues. If you're not used to the snow, it might be a good idea to bring snow spikes, although the parks do have guard rails for climbing. I appreciate Layse and Westar Travel for this wonderful experience in the Canadian Rockies.
Layse was our guide, and she provided an outstanding experience. Her blend of information and humor kept the tour running seamlessly. The crampers she provided for our shoes were a much-appreciated touch, given the slippery and icy terrain. Even though we took the winter tour, which meant the lakes weren't blue, the scenery was still stunning, and the information shared remained very relevant.
The guide was pleasant, and while we appreciated her careful driving, the experience felt more like a hop on/hop off bus service. Although she provided some historical context, our four stops were much shorter than promised: Marble Canyon lasted only 25-30 minutes instead of the advertised 45 minutes, and Lake Louise was just 40 minutes rather than the full hour. The Natural Bridge was completely omitted without any alternative, leading us to return to Banff early, around 3 p.m. after starting at 10 a.m. We were two people but received only one gift tote bag, despite there being three bags available for a trio.
The trip was enjoyable, and Layse provided great insights into the history of the areas. It would have been better to spend more time at each stop, as the trip was only six hours, and we did not reach Banff. We understood the need to skip Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge due to weather and road conditions, but we ended up at Johnston Canyon instead. There simply wasn’t enough time to appreciate the sights at a comfortable pace, which felt rushed given our excitement. Also, the parking fees were excessive, and while there were no long lines this time of year, the lunch experience was less than ideal. Though I am an experienced hiker, less experienced travelers might benefit from guidance, as some trails can present challenges. We faced some obstacles at Marble Canyon due to avalanche blockages, so more information on that would have been helpful. Additionally, some visitors were not following trail etiquette, which can cause issues. Overall, it was a nice experience, and having someone else drive was a plus. For future trips, I suggest extending the time and making better use of the suggested 8-10 hours, along with providing details on parking.
The guide was excellent and fluent in both English and French. She demonstrated a strong knowledge of the excursion.
We're on our honeymoon from Scotland and were eager to experience Banff National Park, particularly the lakes. Our guide, Joseph, picked us up near our hotel and was engaging and knowledgeable throughout the day. He generously offered to take photos of us at every stop and has a talent for photography. We spent just the right amount of time at each site and enjoyed a meal in Lake Louise town around midday. It was a fantastic way to appreciate and learn about the beauty of Banff National Park.
This tour was truly incredible and ranks among my best experiences in Canada. Joseph, our guide, was fantastic throughout the journey. His friendly demeanor made everything more enjoyable. He provided plenty of fascinating insights about Banff during our drive and excelled at capturing great photos for everyone, which added a special touch to the tour. On our return, he went out of his way to help me find the nearest drop-off point to my Airbnb, and I truly appreciated his kindness after a long day. Banff itself was breathtaking; the scenery was extraordinary. I can't recommend this enough. It offers so much value for the price.
I had an incredible experience visiting Banff with this travel agency. The trip was well-organized and smooth, offering stunning views throughout. Everything was handled flawlessly, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable time. A special mention goes to our guide and driver, Geoffrey, who was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. He made everyone feel at ease and kept the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this tour company for anyone looking to visit Banff.
The experience was definitely worthwhile! There was so much to see and ample time to explore. I would certainly consider doing it again.
