The day was lengthy because of the driving involved, but Enrique turned it into an engaging and informative experience. We not only explored the fascinating Calakmul civilization but also observed various unique species of plants and animals. To top it off, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner at a nearby local restaurant close to the reserve.
The tour had a drive time of 4-5 hours, which was the only drawback, but everything else was fantastic. It was a highly informative experience, featuring original stucco in Balamku. I highly recommend it. Wil showcased extensive knowledge of Mayan history and was excellent at spotting various birds and animals that I might have missed. We concluded our day with dinner at a restaurant, but he also offered sandwiches and snacks throughout the tour.
