We drove an additional 400 km to Campeche specifically for this tour, booked a hotel, and were eagerly anticipating the start the next morning. About 30 minutes before the tour, we received an email saying it was canceled due to bad weather, despite the sky being clear and the forecast indicating it would stay that way. I suspect the captain had celebrated too much during Carnival and rescheduled us for the following day, which was unfortunate since we wouldn't be in Campeche then. Additionally, the address provided was misleading; we found ourselves at a barrier in front of the port where the security guard refused to let us through, even after I tried explaining in Spanish. It was a waste of time. Similar tours in Celestun are available from numerous vendors at much lower prices.
