As a Chef, I found every stop on this food tour to be excellent. Tami Lyn was an enjoyable and knowledgeable guide. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.
Bill was our guide and set an ideal pace for the tour, allowing just the right moments to savor the food before heading to the next spot. Every dish was delightful. He also shared fascinating historical insights about Rockland. I particularly enjoyed Fiori and the chocolate factory. Without this tour, we might have missed many of these wonderful food locations, making it a smart decision for us.
It's rare for us to rate a tour poorly, so please see our other reviews. We spent over $300 for the two of us. While our guide Bill was friendly and shared some interesting stories, the food did not match the price. For instance, we shared a lobster roll with an unappealing roll and odd dressing. The olive oil company was the same as where we were staying in Freeport. The chocolate samples were tasty but very small; it would have been nice to have something to take away. The haddock Ruben was decent, but overall, we didn’t feel it was worth $300 for two. It definitely wasn't a culinary adventure.
We had a fantastic experience with Bill, who was wonderful. The food was outstanding, including items I normally wouldn’t have chosen. We left feeling very full. Thank you!
