For Mother's Day, my husband and I chose to take this tour instead of going for brunch, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We discovered restaurants we hadn't known about before, like Juliet and El Potro, and we were pleasantly surprised by how tasty toasted fluff on an ice cream cone can be. Our guide, Emily, was fantastic. I highly recommend this experience and look forward to trying another tour soon.
I recently joined the Off The Beaten Path food tour in Somerville with our fantastic guide, Emily. Our first stop featured a delightful oat-based café with both savory and sweet dishes that were satisfying and tasty. Next, we visited Flatbread Co for some of the finest pizza I've had in the US, along with a fun round of Candlepin Bowling. We explored three additional places before wrapping up the tour. Emily was incredibly friendly and eager to address any questions. I highly recommend this experience. A tip: skip eating beforehand.
Emily's food tour in Davis Square was an enjoyable experience for my partner and me. She was friendly and authentic, sharing captivating stories about the area’s history as we tasted delicious food. The portion sizes were surprisingly generous. I discovered delightful new favorites in a neighborhood I thought I knew well, particularly the sriracha fried egg savory oat bowl at Oat Shop, which was truly remarkable. We later returned to Curios for unique spice mixes and also revisited Spindler Confections with guests to enjoy their wonderful handmade caramel swirls. They bought plenty of sweets, which were reasonably priced for the quality. I highly recommend these tours and hope to explore others in different neighborhoods soon.
Alex proved to be an excellent guide. Despite the rain impacting our tour, she remained positive and accommodating. We enjoyed all indoor tastings, which were quite tasty. I highly recommend this tour for exploring the area's history and savoring great food.
