There was significant confusion regarding the pickup, with the driver being 20 minutes away. After a call from the boss, he returned to the hotel for guests who weren't there. We barely made it to the ferry, and on the return trip, we faced heavy congestion in Boston. The driver did not explore alternate routes or seek assistance, simply driving into traffic and crawling through the city. We arrived at the hotel an hour and a half late and spent a total of three hours on the return journey. The company's operations felt overly automated and disorganized.

We were picked up right at 7 am from our hotel in Boston, which was very convenient. Our driver, Matt, was incredibly friendly and shared plenty of interesting facts, making the trip to Cape Cod enjoyable. We had a nice stop at a scenic viewpoint in Falmouth with a lighthouse and stunning coastal views. Matt helped us reach the ferry port in Wood's Hole with extra time to spare, even suggesting breakfast spots, including Pie in the Sky Bakery. Ferry tickets were organized, along with clear instructions that kept everything on track. We opted for an additional tour of Martha's Vineyard, which I highly recommend; our local guide John shared numerous fascinating stories as we explored the island. I do wish we could have spent more time in the main towns of Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. After a nice visit, we boarded the 3:45 pm ferry back to Boston, where Matt was ready to escort us home. It was a fantastic day.
Our visit to Martha's Vineyard was truly delightful. The driver was both friendly and very knowledgeable. We are eager to book a tour of the Salem witch museum and will certainly reach out to them!
If you have a disability and require special accommodations, be aware that the tour driver upon arrival at the island may be dismissive and even abusive. My group and I were asked to leave the van and left at the ferry. At 62 years old, I reached out in tears to the first driver, who connected me with Sue, who sincerely apologized and arranged for another driver. Paul, our new driver, was considerate and compassionate.
Matthew excels at sharing the history of Boston and its surroundings. He skillfully avoided traffic, taking us through charming towns. We reached Woods Hole with ample time to shop and take a break before boarding the ferry. The ride back was enjoyable, and he even gave us a list of excellent restaurants in Boston.
The experience was fantastic; our tour guide was amazing and shared many great tips about places to explore and dine. Just be ready for varying weather conditions.
