Harvard University is the oldest institution of higher education in the United States, founded in 1636. Its sprawling campus features a mix of Georgian brick architecture and modern structures, with iconic sites like Harvard Yard, the Harvard Library, and the imposing Widener Library, named after a benefactor whose family perished on the Titanic. A stroll through the campus reveals not only academic history but also beautiful greens and sculptures. The fall season offers a stunning display of foliage, while the spring brings cherry blossoms to life. Adjacent to the university, Harvard Square buzzes with cafés, shops, and a sense of intellectual energy.

Three hours on foot in Cambridge — taste local delicacies while learning about Harvard's history and notable former residents.

Take this tour for a wonderful blend of delicious food and engaging history focusing on Harvard University, the Town of Cambridge, and Boston. This was our fourth Secret Food Tour, and it surpassed the others largely due to our guide, Sean D. His passion for his hometown, along with its architecture and history, is evident and memorable. Sean offered excellent recommendations near our hotel in Back Bay and for our next stop in Hyannis. Each food stop was satisfying and abundant. While we enjoyed all the options, the fish sandwich at the oyster house stood out to us. After the afternoon tour, we were so full that a light dinner was all we needed. Secret Food Tours is an excellent way to enjoy local cuisine while learning fascinating facts about the city.Diana025 on the Harvard and Cambridge walking food tour tour

We had a wonderful time on our food tour on Saturday. Our guide, James, who is a Harvard student, provided us with plenty of historical insights. The food was outstanding too. I highly recommend both this tour and James.dbarrett227 on the Harvard Square food and walking tour tour

Three hours in a luxury SUV covering historic sites like Harvard and Beacon Hill with a customizable itinerary to suit your interests.

The driver was kind and amiable, but she didn't act as a tour guide. Her knowledge of the Boston sites was quite limited; she would remark that "people say this is a good site." There was a lack of historical context, and overall, it felt like an expensive three-hour driving experience rather than a proper tour.Beth_J on the Private historic tour of Boston by luxury SUV tour
