We’ve experienced this tour twice, last year and this year, and both times were fantastic. The guides were excellent, friendly, and accommodating. Our diverse group, ages 10 to 70, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We chose the 1pm afternoon trip (via Get Your Guide), which allowed us to enjoy a nice meal beforehand and still have time for dinner afterward. Plus, it’s warmer in the afternoon. The rapids reach up to Level 3, featuring some challenging sections but mostly easier ones. The latter part of the journey is quite relaxing as you float along the river. Depending on the group's dynamics, not everyone needs to paddle; some can sit at the front (just be prepared to get wet). They provide an extra fleece jacket that fits over your wetsuit and under your windbreaker. If paddling isn’t your strength, they’ll seat you accordingly. The kids had a great time jumping into the calm water towards the end, and we spotted wild horses and a bald eagle on our journey. The guides offered all the necessary guidance and tips. The trickiest part was putting on and taking off the wetsuit. Tip: Bring a complete change of warm clothes, towels, and sunscreen if it’s sunny.
The experience was truly the best of my life. Initially, I felt a bit anxious, but I’m so pleased I decided to go. From check-in to our return, the crew ensured I was comfortable. Our guides, Rachel and Tim, provided plenty of laughs, making the journey memorable. I will definitely book another tour with this group and highly recommend that others do as well.
Rafting on the Kananaskis with Richard was the best part of our trip! My husband, two nieces, and I had an incredible time with the perfect blend of excitement and beautiful views. Richard ensured we were entertained, safe, and helped us spot waterfalls like experts. The snacks at the end were a nice touch—there's nothing like enjoying hot chocolate and spending time with a dog after conquering the rapids! The complimentary photos capturing our adventure were a wonderful gesture. I highly recommend this experience!
