Reviews
It was a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, assisting with equipment and guiding us to the best spots for fish viewing. The crew was excellent, the food was tasty, and the drinks kept coming. Everyone had a great time, and I truly loved it.
It was an enjoyable way to spend four hours. The music was quite loud but still manageable. The boat felt a bit crowded, with around 30 people on board.
The catamaran experience was fairly average. I had a good time, but the walk to the beach involves a set of concrete steps that are in need of repair, lacking a handrail and being uneven, so those with bad knees or hips should exercise caution. Once on the catamaran, I enjoyed myself, and the BBQ was tasty.
The journey to the beach was excessively long, and we took the wrong route due to closed roads. The excursion itself was brief. The barbecue lunch was quite inadequate, consisting of just two slices of bread, a mini pork sausage, a rib, and some tomatoes. It hardly qualified as lunch. I requested more chicken wings since I don't eat pork and received a rude reply. All the kids were still left hungry. While one girl on the boat was pleasant, the others could use a change in attitude.
The staff was excellent, but the boat felt overly packed, and the snorkeling locations were not particularly thrilling. Our pickup was delayed by about 45 minutes, which made us rush to board. Although we had signed up for a boat meant for 20 people, there were actually 60-70 passengers, and seating was scarce. We chose this cruise because of its proximity to our hotel, but it would be better to endure the longer bus ride to the Paradise Island Cruise, as the scenery and stops there are far more enjoyable.
If you're not a fan of drinking and partying, this isn’t the adventure for you, as your glass will always be full and the music continuous. However, even if that’s not your scene, it's still enjoyable. We visited two snorkeling locations, and the BBQ on the boat was excellent, featuring ribs and chicken wings. I would happily do it again.
This was a really enjoyable experience. There were plenty of fish, and the food and music were great. The guides were fantastic and added to the fun! It's a must-do if you're visiting Puerto Plata.
Upon boarding the boat, there were only a few of us initially. After departing, the boat returned to pick up additional passengers both at the dock and out at sea. The crew was enjoyable and the BBQ they served was excellent. The two stops we made were pleasant, with clean and inviting water.
This tour comes highly recommended. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. We snorkeled at two spots, witnessing stunning colorful fish and a vibrant coral reef, just like in the promotional materials. The atmosphere was lively, with party music and dancing on board after a BBQ lunch featuring freshly grilled meat, making it an enjoyable half-day experience. If you easily get seasick as I do, make sure to take Dramamine or Gravol before boarding! I forgot, which led to my seasickness. However, the staff were incredibly compassionate and organized a speedboat to return me to shore when I didn't improve after half an hour. I was able to relax under an umbrella on the beach while the rest of my family continued their adventure.
The crew was wonderful and incredibly friendly. It's truly a party boat, but they also take you to two locations where you can jump into the water.
