Ray, our driver, truly made the day memorable with his accommodating and friendly nature. We visited lovely wineries, enjoyed a fascinating beer farm for lunch, and had great company throughout the experience.
It was an excellent day with timely pick-up, visiting three fantastic wineries, a chocolate factory, and a beer farm. Shane, our driver and tour guide, was outstanding and made the experience even more enjoyable; he was accommodating and helpful throughout.
Our guide Jeff arrived on time for pickup, and the day turned out to be fantastic. We enjoyed a wonderful group of people with varying levels of wine knowledge, and everyone felt welcome. The vineyards we visited offered high-quality wines and were quite engaging. Lunch at 'The Beer Farm' was outstanding, with a selection that included burgers, pasta, and pizza. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and Fermoy Vineyard stood out as the highlight. Thank you, Jeff, for organizing such a great tour with insightful commentary. Michelle & Pete NZ
Shane was prompt in arriving at our accommodation in Busselton and greeted us with warmth right from the start. We toured three wineries and enjoyed lunch at a brewery where the food was outstanding. Shane remained punctual and courteous throughout, providing us with fascinating insights and helpful recommendations for other places to explore. We wrapped up the day with a lovely impression of Margaret River. Highly recommended.
During our first and likely only trip to the Margaret River area, we aimed to explore some notable wineries without the feel of a party bus. We chose Tannin Road for their small group size and accommodation pickup in Busselton, and it exceeded our expectations. Communication was clear from booking through to the day of the tour, and our pickup was punctual. There were only seven of us in a nine-seater van. Our guide, Rachel (if I recall correctly), was on her first day with Tannin Road, so the information sharing wasn’t as fluid as it might have been, but that was secondary to enjoying the day’s wines and beers. We visited four cellar doors in total (with tastings at three) and had a fantastic lunch at the Beer Farm Microbrewery, plus a visit to a chocolate factory. The Jilyara Winery was particularly engaging, thanks to the owner Maria's enthusiasm, while Fermoy Wines offered some standout selections. They provided a menu of twenty-one wines categorized by type, allowing us to select six for tasting. My partner focused on the sparkling and rosé options, while I leaned towards reds, with their 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon being the highlight. The woman at Thompson Estate was knowledgeable, but the wines didn’t quite resonate with us. As a beer enthusiast, I enjoyed our lunch at the Beer Farm, which served impressive offerings for a small brewery, including a tasting paddle of four beers for $21. The food was also decent. Overall, it was a fantastic day of being transported around and sampling some of the region’s finest products.
As a resident of West Australia, I had a fantastic time with my wife on our wedding anniversary, enjoying the lively conversations with a group of eight English tourists there to watch cricket. Shane, our driver, arrived on schedule and offered excellent commentary while we explored the Margaret River Wine region, stopping at various wineries and having lunch at a brewery. I highly recommend this experience.
Attila, our guide for the day, was fantastic—knowledgeable, warm, and humorous. We explored several wineries and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Beerfarm. Being a small group made it wonderful to connect and chat with the other couples.
Geoff was an excellent guide, and the choice of wineries was impressive, featuring hosts who were both knowledgeable and engaging. It was a wonderfully paced and fantastic day overall.
Our experience with Ray as our driver was exceptional. He provided excellent options for wineries to visit and made an effort to engage everyone on the tour. His extensive knowledge about awards, competitions, and the regions added to the uniqueness of the experience, making it much more than just transportation from one location to another.
We had an incredible experience. The transportation was comfortable, punctual, and picked us up from our hotel. We toured three wineries, a chocolate shop, and a skincare boutique, all of which were wonderful. Lunch was very tasty, and our driver Shane was excellent. I highly recommend this tour.
