She expertly controlled the raft while ensuring everyone felt engaged. Her upbeat energy added to the thrill of the ride beyond my expectations. During the calmer sections, she shared fascinating stories and historical insights. We asked her to make the adventure as exciting as possible, and she delivered, even navigating rapids backward and touching rocks along the way.
The guides were fantastic, and the float down the river in Salida was beautiful. The operation was very well organized. I highly suggest this as a fun activity for families.

The advertising is misleading. This float trip is not suitable for families, especially when encountering the 3rd wave in Salida, which would be too frightening for children to navigate. The other waves and the dam chute also exceeded the expectations of a mild experience, with the largest wave being particularly hazardous. We specifically inquired about the trip's intensity during booking and check-in, as we sought a "mild" float trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day of white water rafting in Brown’s Canyon with Wilderness Aware. Our guide, “Snack,” provided us with valuable insights into trout fishing, river lore, and the area's history. He expertly navigated our raft past rocks and rapids with skill. It was a lot of fun, and this is a top-notch operation.

We aimed to provide our children with an exciting introduction to rafting without overwhelming them, and this experience was ideal. It familiarized them with the concept of rafting, and they enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked Browns Canyon for the next day with our fantastic guides, Meghan and Liz.
