It was a pleasant experience; while it's not the best aquarium I've been to, the tunnel is impressive, and the sea lions' show is really enjoyable. It's worth doing if you’ve been to New York before.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the New York Aquarium in Coney Island. The facility was well-maintained, the staff was attentive, and the exhibits were impressive. The only downside was the absence of sea turtles, which we had hoped to see. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely worth the cost.
I hadn't visited the Aquarium since elementary school. Arriving 15 minutes before opening on a Sunday allowed me to find local parking easily. The entrance line moved quickly. Once inside, the Aquarium is divided into sections, and the seal show was a highlight, especially with the chance to see them up close while swimming in their habitat. I'm glad I got there early because by the time I left, large crowds of kids were arriving. Coney Island has changed a lot, but there's a police precinct nearby, likely for tourists' safety. Overall, I believe it was a worthwhile experience for the price.
Exceeded my expectations. It was really enjoyable with plenty to explore. My husband also had a great time. I will definitely come back with my family.
I had a wonderful experience at the aquarium. I wish I had arrived earlier since some exhibits were closing, especially for a Friday night. Overall, it was a lovely venue, and the seal show was fantastic.
It was a fantastic day, incredibly beautiful to encounter sea wolf sharks and witness so many types of fish. What a wonderful experience.
There was no senior discount provided, unlike what the aquarium's own website advertises. This oversight cost me an extra $6. It feels a bit like a scam.
The aquarium was quite underwhelming and not worth the high price. We left feeling very disappointed. I recommend opting for the Central Park Zoo instead; it's truly wonderful.
I contacted ahead about ticket arrangements and was told that the time I booked was flexible. However, when I arrived on Valentine's Day, I was turned away due to traffic. I called the office, and they instructed me to reach out to Viator, as they couldn’t help with rescheduling. After four attempts to contact Viator, I still have not received any resolution, refund, or new appointment. I'm extremely disappointed, as I was looking forward to this experience with my partner, and I wasn't informed about the entry cut-off time.
Visit Coney Island during winter to dodge the crowds, but dress warmly due to its proximity to the ocean and the cold NYC weather. A lot of the aquarium has outdoor exhibits. I particularly appreciate the underground sections. It's a compact aquarium, so you can explore all the attractions in a single visit. Watching the otters play is a delightful experience.
