We arranged a 5-hour continental divide tour with Breck Adventures three months prior and reserved the entire day for it, receiving countdown emails leading up to the trip. However, just one hour before the scheduled pickup, we were informed via email that the operator had canceled without any prior notice or explanation. Attempts to contact the owner went unanswered, and the claim about closed roads was untrue. This left us without plans, wasting a day of our vacation. I strongly advise against this dishonest company.
We joined this tour on a Monday and within five minutes of being picked up, the guide began talking about the Middle East conflict and went into detail about the Koran. He later brought up gun control in a very opinionated manner, presenting himself as someone who is never wrong. Our intention was to explore Colorado, not to engage in discussions about politics, religion, or gun laws. His self-indulgent laughter at his own jokes was also off-putting. In over twenty years of extensive travel, he ranks as one of the worst guides we've encountered. We should have asked for a refund or disputed the charge, as the experience was genuinely unpleasant. It's unfortunate that this guide hasn't faced any prior feedback, though he does know the region well.
Yam provided us with an incredible tour, captivating us with tales and guiding us to a delicious lunch in town. It was a fantastic day and a genuinely memorable adventure in Colorado.
