What's the itinerary?+
• Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park is famous for its wildlife and is often referred to as "The Serengeti of Yellowstone." It is currently the best location in the United States to observe wild wolves. This area is historically significant as it is where biologists from the National Park Service reintroduced the first wolf pack to Yellowstone since the early 1900s. In addition to wolves, large herds of bison and elk can also be seen grazing in this well-known valley. • The boardwalks at Mammoth Hot Springs will be explored. Mammoth Hot Springs is a major thermal feature built over a significant deposit of limestone. The superheated water from the volcano beneath Yellowstone dissolves the limestone and re-deposits it on the surface as travertine, creating turquoise pools and unique terraces. • The expedition will cover areas of the park between Mammoth Hot Springs and Lamar Valley. More wildlife can be observed in this region, including elk, moose, foxes, coyotes, wolves, pine martens, and long-tailed weasels, among others.
