• The Madison extends over 150 miles from Yellowstone National Park to the Missouri River near Three Forks. Its history dates back to the Ice Age. Note: The journey is more than 75 miles long, featuring over 41 audio narratives, and lasts approximately 2-3 hours. Lifetime access is included, with no expiration. It can be used at any time, on any trip, as often as desired. • Welcome to the Big Sky Drive, a picturesque route that showcases the highlights of Montana in one stunning journey, including towering peaks, clear rivers, rocky canyons, and expansive plains, while sharing the intriguing history of the region. • The route follows U.S. Highway 191. If driven to its end, it reaches close to the U.S.-Canada border, and if driven in the opposite direction, it leads to the arid deserts of Arizona. Essentially, it is a lengthy highway. • This mountain, rising 10,000 feet in the Gallatin Range, is named after Chief Crowfoot, a notable leader of the Blackfoot tribe. According to legend, a hungry grizzly bear once entered Chief Crowfoot’s camp in search of food. With his warriors absent, Crowfoot confronted the bear alone, wielding a spear. He fought bravely and emerged victorious. • The drive runs nearly along the state boundary between Montana and Wyoming, with the Gallatin Range mountains on the right side, much of which extends into Wyoming. • Ahead lies the Gallatin River, which will accompany the route closely, allowing for familiarization with it throughout the journey. • The mountain formation directly ahead includes King Butte in the center and Big Horn Peak on the right, both approaching 10,000 feet in height. • To the left, Cinnamon Mountain rises.
