A fantastic way to gain insights about the park while enjoying it! I utilized it from the Estes Park entrance to Grand Lake. The location services functioned well, and the audio played just before reaching each overlook or stop, eliminating the need to double back to catch the guide's commentary. I highly suggest it!
Overall, it was executed very well. Although we encountered some initial hiccups, things smoothed out quickly. It was engaging and educational, and I learned a lot.
As a first-time visitor from Michigan, I found exploring the park to be effortless. The program guided us throughout, providing historical insights and keeping us informed about our location. It even allows you to replay the narration in case you need to catch anything you missed. I appreciate the service.
We visited RMNP on a lovely, foggy, and rainy morning. The audio tour was fantastic; it offered interesting facts about the area as we drove, allowing us to choose when to stop for hikes or views. It was informative, user-friendly, and fun. By the time we reached the top of Trail Ridge Road, it had transformed into a winter wonderland with snowfall. What an extraordinary place.
It was highly informative, and I appreciated being able to engage with the stop details. This experience offered great value.
The guide was truly beneficial, and I wouldn't want to explore such a vast park without guidance. However, I have a couple of suggestions: 1) the GPS in the guide lagged, often informing us about sights after we had already passed them; and 2) it would enhance the experience if there was music playing between commentaries, keeping us engaged while paused to explore.
This option helps you save money on tours while providing a private guide. He highlights viewpoints and hiking spots along the way. The only downside is that you will handle all the driving yourself.
Initially, the experience was enjoyable; however, encountering closed roads became confusing when trying to get back on track to see the remaining sights. I understand road closures are necessary as winter approaches, though I'm unsure how to address this issue. The app did help us discover interesting locations, such as Sprague Lake, which was less crowded and beautiful this time of year. We observed brook trout spawning, along with mule deer, elk, magpie birds, and other wildlife in the park. Overall, it was worthwhile.
The experience was enjoyable, but a large portion of the park was closed, preventing us from finishing the tour. I would have preferred clearer information prior to purchasing.
The audio tour and offline GPS were beneficial while navigating the park. I spotted wildlife on the return trip to the entrance. I only managed to drive 7 miles in since the rest were closed for winter.
