Upon arriving at the shop, Conor provided us with a detailed introduction to the e-bikes and ensured we were comfortable before we loaded into a spacious van to reach the starting point. Once we hopped on the bikes, the fun truly started. The dirt path led us directly up the mountain, and the e-bike made the ascent manageable. As we climbed, Conor shared insights about the area's history and pointed out various points of interest. We paused briefly in the historic mining town of Gold Hill to recharge before heading to the Switzerland Trail, where we enjoyed a thrilling descent on wonderful dirt roads. I found myself taking numerous photos during the ride. On our return to the shop, Conor recommended an excellent lunch spot. I highly suggest this tour for anyone looking to explore less-traveled routes and immerse themselves in the area's history on delightful dirt roads in the mountains near Boulder.
My partner and I recently visited and wanted to try e-biking in Colorado. After finding this tour, we decided to give it a shot, despite never having ridden e-bikes before. It was incredibly enjoyable! Our guide, Conor, was exceptional. He explained how the bikes worked, ensured they were a suitable fit, and allowed us some time to practice before we set off. The scenery along the route was stunning, and Conor shared a wealth of information about the area's history and the various biking options near Boulder. Coming from the Northeast, I really appreciated the assistance from the e-bike, especially at higher elevations and on uphill stretches. I could easily engage in conversation, which wouldn't have been possible on a traditional mountain bike. I also lack significant mountain biking experience, but this trail was easy and immensely fun. We stopped frequently for photos, and Conor provided us with snacks and drinks. Overall, this adventure was fantastic, and I would eagerly do it again.
The power of the bikes made it easy to ascend the steep dirt paths in Boulder Canyon. The seats were comfortable, and the staff at the store provided excellent assistance, from bike setup to trail recommendations.
